Princeton University Jones Hall

Princeton, New Jersey

Mathematical formulas and figures by Albert Einstein still exist in the leaded design of the windows. With great sensitivity to the importance of this building, HSC performed major renovations to make Jones Hall code compliant without affecting its historic significance and design. Project highlights included fire protection and sprinkler system installations; restoration of exemplary architectural features such as ornate stained glass windows, wood paneling, refinished wood flooring, masonry restoration, and slate roofing improvements; improvements to audio/visual capability, lighting, and accessibility; and structural excavation of existing crawl space to create new mechanical room including underpinning and column/footing replacement below grade.
